The fourth contingent arrived in Afghanistan this morning to take part in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission.
The third contingent of 50 officers was welcomed at Zagreb's airport by family members and friends as well as Croatian Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Josip Lucic and Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic, who congratulated them on a successfully completed mission.
Roncevic told reporters the contingent's performance was excellent, and that senior ISAF officials described the Croats' work as good and professional.
Asked why the press was not invited to see the fourth contingent off, the minister said that was due to security reasons, notably after the recent terror attack in Kabul and the Russian civilian plane crashes.
