Zuzul informed his guests about strategic goals of the Croatian government, asking Germany to support Croatia's application for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council for the 2008/2009 period.
The German parliamentarians were interested in Croatia's relations with its neighbours and to what extent its political success could have an impact on the neighbouring countries and the entire region.
Zuzul said that Croatia had good relations with its neighbours and stressed his government's determination in its efforts to help refugees who so wish to return to Croatia.
The SPD delegation said they fully agreed with Croatian political views, but also expressed their concern about the situation in Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania as potential hot spots in the region, the statement said.
