"After Mikulas Dzurinda and his coalition won the elections, Slovakia managed to catch up with the group of countries that were already deep in negotiations. That's an encouragement for Croatia because Slovakia managed to complete negotiations on all chapters in a very short period of time," Sanader said.
The Croatian PM congratulated Dzurinda on Slovakia's recent joining NATO and the EU and expressed hope Slovakia would help Croatia in European integration processes with its experience.
The Slovak prime minister expressed his country's readiness to share its experience with Croatia and added that Slovakia could also learn from Croatia.
Dzurinda said he had noticed excellent promotion of Croatia in the foreign media and added he was impressed with the way Croatia was building highways. He said he would instruct his transport minister to hold consultations with his Croatian counterpart about the future construction of highways in Slovakia.
Dzurinda will visit the southern Croatian city of Split on Thursday.
