The seminar, organised by the Atlantic Council of Croatia and NATO's information centre from Brussels, is attended by young leaders, diplomats, scientists, members of armed and security forces and reporters from Italy, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Great Britain, Denmark, Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia and Croatia.
Croatian Assistant Defence Minister Jelena Grcic Police addressed the present on the first day of the seminar. She spoke of the level of progress in the process of Croatia's drawing closer to NATO. Grcic Polic also stressed it was necessary to implement reforms and create conditions for adjustment of Croatia's Armed Forces to NATO standards.
State Secretary in the Slovene Defence Ministry Milan Jazbec spoke of Slovenia's preparations for joining NATO and the country's experience after it gained membership.
The seminar will also be addressed by Zsoltan Rabai from NATO's information departnment, Secretary General of NATO's association of Atlantic councils Froels Froling, Dr Giorgy Banlaky from Hungary, RACVIAC director Dr Johan Pucher, Dr. Amadeo Watkins from London's National Defence Academy and numerous Croatian scientists and officials.
