Andre, who was at the helm of the visiting French parliamentary delegation, said the Senate had recognised the importance of Croatia's entry into the European Union, and promised the continuation of strong support to Croatia on that road.
She expressed hope that in the near future the bilateral parliamentary talks would focus again on the economic and cultural exchange between the two countries.

The French delegation will also visit the eastern Croatian cities of Slavonski Brod, Djakovo, Osijek and Vukovar where they will lay a wreath at the Ovcara memorial centre for victims of the Homeland Defence War.
