During the debate, it was stated that through various models of reconstruction 148,280 family houses and flats, which were destroyed or damaged in the 1990s war, have been rebuilt or renovated, enabling the return of 490,000 people.
Members of parliament also briefly debated a bill on the ratification of an agreement with Bosnia and Herzegovina on the return of refugees.
The purpose of the document is to encourage cooperation with both Bosnian entities - the Croat-Muslim Federation and the Serb republic - in an effort to enable Bosnian refugees temporarily staying in Croatia and refugees from Croatia staying in Bosnia to return to their prewar homes.
The document provides for security and protection in this two-way return.
