SARAJEVO, Aug 31 (Hina) - Members of the NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) on Tuesday arrested Milovan Cicko Bjelica, former seniorofficials of the Serb Democratic PArty (SDS), who has been arrestedbefore on suspicion of abetting
the hiding of war crimes indictees,notably Radovan Karadzic.
SARAJEVO, Aug 31 (Hina) - Members of the NATO-led Stabilisation Force
(SFOR) on Tuesday arrested Milovan Cicko Bjelica, former senior officials of
the Serb Democratic PArty (SDS), who has been arrested before on suspicion of
abetting the hiding of war crimes indictees, notably Radovan Karadzic.Spokesman for SFOR Szandor Zsiros, who informed reporters in Sarajevo
about the arrest, said that Bjelica was apprehended on suspicion of being
involved in activities contrary to the Dayton Accord.
Spokesman for the police department in the Serb part of Sarajevo,
Radovan Pejic, said local police were involved in the arrest operation at the
request of SFOR.
Bjelica was arrested in Sokolac on Mount Romanja around 10AM.
Milovan Bjelica was released on June 14, the spokesman for SFOR said new
evidence came up in the meantime and the new arrest warrant was issued.
