ZAGREB, Aug 27 (Hina) - The head of the Croatian government's office for cooperation with the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague, Jaksa Muljacic, on Friday received Bosnia-Herzegovina's Croat officer for liaison with the tribunal, Goran Mihaljevic, in connection with Bosnia's request for access to documents on the 1990s war in Bosnia.

"We granted the request that Bosnian representatives be given access to documents in the Croatian State Archive," Muljacic said.

The Hague tribunal has asked the Bosnian government to deliver documents referring to the war in Bosnia for the period April 1992-December 1993 as part of proceedings against six former Herceg Bosna officials -- Jadranko Prlic, Bruno Stojic, Valentin Coric, Berislav Pusic, and generals Slobodan Praljak and Milivoj Petkovic.

Muljacic said Bosnian authorities thought some of the documents might be in the Croatian State Archive.

He recalled that under Croatian government decisions, all documents about the war in Bosnia were combined and stored at the Croatian State Archive. Access is granted to investigators with the Hague tribunal, interested governments and defence attorneys, he added.
