SKOPLJE, April 26 (Hina) - Macedonians go to the polls on Wednesday in a second round of presidential elections following President Boris Trajkovski's death in a plane crash in February this year. It is feared that the elections may not be successful considering a low turnout of 54 percent in the first round held on April 14.

It is feared that the elections may not be successful considering a low turnout of 54 percent in the first round held on April 14.#L# The country's 1,700,000 eligible voters will choose between the incumbent prime minister and leader of the Social-Democratic Alliance, Branko Crvenkovski, and Sasko Kedev, candidate of the VMRO-DPMNE party. Crvenkovski, who won eight percent more votes than Kedev in the first round, is considered the favourite. He will be supported by ethnic Albanians who were called to vote for him by the Democratic Union for Integration, a coalition partner in the government. (Hina) rml
