VTV director Marijan Varovic has said that the programme will deal
with topics from different areas.
"Programmes will cover topics from the economy, culture, science,
public life, environmental protection, sports and other areas of
interest to viewers from the future EU region. Special attention will
be dedicated to national minorities. The programmes will also be aired
in a part of Germany via cable television," Varovic said.
Programmes will be co-produced and some of them will move from state
to state and have different anchors and be broadcast in different
languages. Stories will be broadcast in journalists' mother tongues
and the programmes will be either dubbed or have subtitles. The first
programme, to be aired in early May, will present cities where the
participating television stations come from.
The first joint task of the TV stations will be the international
conference "Neighbours Without Borders", to be held in Maribor on May
13.
