VUKOVAR, April 3 (Hina) - After the successful implementation of the programme of support to war veterans and children, victims of violence in Vukovar-Srijem and Osijek-Baranja counties which ended last August, the Vinkovci-based
office of the Italian Province Friuli-Venezia-Giulia this spring will start implementing the programme of support to Croatian Homeland War veterans.
VUKOVAR, April 3 (Hina) - After the successful implementation of the
programme of support to war veterans and children, victims of violence
in Vukovar-Srijem and Osijek-Baranja counties which ended last August,
the Vinkovci-based office of the Italian Province
Friuli-Venezia-Giulia this spring will start implementing the
programme of support to Croatian Homeland War veterans.#L#
Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, the population of which is close to 1.2
million, is one of the wealthiest provinces in Italy and the European
Union. With the support of the Italian Foreign Ministry, it started
helping eastern Slavonia two years ago when it opened offices in
Osijek (for economy) and Vinkovci (for the implementation of social
projects). So far, the Italian province has invested over EUR3.4
million in the two Croatia counties.
