OSIJEK, April 5 (Hina) - Seventeen Moldovans were arrested near eastern Croatia's Beli Manastit on April 3 in an attempt to illegally enter the country, Osijek-Baranja County police said on Monday.

Late on April 3, the 14 men and three women were spotted by hunters,
who reported them to the police. It was established they had crossed
the Danube in a boat from Serbia-Montenegro. Their final destination
was Italy.
The Moldovans were taken before the magistrate's court in Beli
Manastir on Sunday and later to the reception camp in Jezevo pending
banishment from Croatia.
