The World Bank has granted Croatia a loan of some 155 million for the
project in July 2003. The project includes the modernisation of local
road infrastructure and the port. It should be completed by 2009 and
is expected to secure some 3,000 new jobs.
Rijeka mayor Vojko Obersnel said today's meeting also addressed
possibilities of expanding the project in the segment referring to
road infrastructure.
