ZAGREB, March 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Radio -Television (HRT) Programmes Council will elect HRT general director from among eight candidates on March 18, the Council decided on Monday at a session at which 14 applications for the post
were opened with eight of them meeting the set requirements.

Among the eight candidates are HRT's incumbent provisional general
director Mirko Galic, Croatian Radio provisional editor-in-chief Dusko
Radic, and provisional editors of the Croatian Television's (HTV) news
and sports programmes, Nikola Kristic and Bruno Kovacevic
respectively.
Applications were also submitted by four less known candidates, while
other candidates submitted incomplete applications.
