SARAJEVO, March 3 (Hina) - The US ambassador in charge of war crimes
issues, Pierre Richard Prosper, on Wednesday warned top Bosnian
officials that the fact that former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan

country's integration into the EU.#L#
Prosper is on a two-day visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina and today met in
Sarajevo with members of the state presidency, Sulejman Tihic, Dragan
Covic and Borislav Paravac.
A statement issued by the presidency after the talks, held behind
closed doors, said that the US diplomat had once again called for
stepping up efforts to bring to justice all war crimes suspects,
particularly Karadzic.
This is a basic precondition for the further stabilisation of the
country and its overall progress, especially if Bosnia wants to draw
closer to Euro-Atlantic institutions, Prosper said.
The presidency members agreed that it was primarily the obligation of
domestic authorities to bring to justice war crimes suspects, but they
also sought assistance from the international community in fulfilling
that obligation quickly and successfully.
