The conference was overshadowed by the death of Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski and another eight persons who were aboard a plane that crashed into a mountain near Mostar on Thursday morning. The Macedonian delegation was also to attend the Mostar event. The plenary session of the conference and bilateral meetings were cancelled because of the tragic accident and only round table discussions were held. At one of the discussions, which was held today, participants talked about plans for the construction of the European Vc corridor's section running through Bosnia, which would cost over 2.5 billion euros. Topics of the other round table discussions were the industry and the power sector, the banking system, agriculture, food production and tourism. After yesterday's plane crash and Trajkovski's death, delegations from several countries cancelled their visit to Mostar. Croatian President Stjepan Mesic also cancelled his participation, while Premier Ivo Sanader, who arrived in Mostar a day before the accident, attended events on the first day of the conference.
