ZAGREB, Feb 20 (Hina) - Croatia's delegation, led by Assistant Foreign Minister Neven Madey, on Thursday held the second regular meeting with representatives of the European Commission on Croatia's fulfillment of political criteria
for its European Union membership bid, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Friday.

Minister Neven Madey, on Thursday held the second regular meeting with
representatives of the European Commission on Croatia's fulfillment of
political criteria for its European Union membership bid, the Foreign
Ministry said in a press release on Friday.#L#
Croatian representatives informed the EC delegation, led by Michael
Leigh, the EC deputy director-general for external relations, of
Zagreb's progress in cooperation with the Hague-based UN war crimes
tribunal, the return of refugees, the repossession of property, the
protection of minorities' rights and the enforcement of the
constitutional law on minorities' rights, reform in the judiciary,
regional cooperation and development of good ties with neighbouring
countries and amendments to media laws.
The meeting in Brussels was held as part of efforts of the European
Commission to draw up its opinion (avis) on Croatia's application for
EU membership.
