ZAGREB, Feb 20 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul and another two Croatian delegations will visit Brussels next week and hold talks with numerous EU officials.

Mesic will start his visit on Wednesday with a meeting with European
Commission President Romano Prodi. On Thursday Croatia's head of state
will meet the President of the European Parliament, Pat Cox, at whose
invitation he travels to Brussels. Mesic is also expected to address
deputies in the European Parliament.
During his stay in Brussels, Mesic will meet representatives of the
Croatian community living and working in Belgium and Luxembourg and
the Brussels mayor.
Foreign Minister Zuzul will hold talks with the European Union Troika
on Monday evening, within regular political dialogue. On Tuesday Zuzul
will meet representatives of the International Relations Royal
Institute (IRRI), after which he will pay a short visit to Luxembourg
where he will meet Foreign Minister Lydie Polfer. In Brussels, Zuzul
will meet the ambassadors of the EU member states and 10 countries
that will join the Union this spring.
Agriculture Minister Petar Cobankovic will on Monday meet Franz
Fishler, the European Commissioner for Agriculture. This is the first
meeting on this level between Croatia and the European Commission in
the agricultural sector since the establishment of the Ivo Sanader
cabinet.
The first round of negotiations between Croatia and the European
Commission on additional Protocol 7 starts on Thursday. The protocol
should change the trade regime with the European Union after the
admission of 10 new member states on May 1.
