CROATIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY CLERK NABBED WITH KILO OF COCAINE IN THE HAGUE

ZAGREB, Feb 16 (Hina) - The Croatian Embassy in the Netherlands on Monday sent a note to the Croatian Foreign Ministry informing it that the Dutch police arrested a clerk of the Croatian Foreign Ministry, Bozidar Loncarek, at a train station on February 15, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.#L# According to the preliminary reports of the Dutch police, at the moment of the arrest Loncarek had about one kilogram of cocaine on him, hidden in a diplomatic courier bag. The police also found a courier letter for the transport of the diplomatic mail which was on his name. The Foreign Ministry immediately took necessary measures and it has established that Loncarek is indeed a clerk of the Croatian Foreign Ministry. He, however, does not have a diplomatic passport and he was travelling with his private passport. He was not on an official trip and did not have the ministry's travel order forms. The ministry established that without a doubt the alleged courier letter that Loncarek had on him was forged. The ministry said there were no obstacles for the Dutch police to act in accordance with the Dutch laws in the case of Bozidar Loncarek. The Croatian Embassy in the Netherlands will provide Locarek with the usual consular assistance. The Croatian Foreign has launched an internal investigation about this case, the ministry said in a statement expressing readiness to cooperate with the Dutch authorities in order to shed light on the said case.
