ZAGREB ZAGREB, Jan 27(Hina) - Zagreb Archbishop Cardinal Josip Bozanic on Tuesday opened the 44th theological-pastoral week entitled "The Church and Visual Arts", organised by the Catholic Divinity College in Zagreb.

Tuesday opened the 44th theological-pastoral week entitled "The Church
and Visual Arts", organised by the Catholic Divinity College in
Zagreb.#L#
Cardinal Bozanic said the entire history of the Catholic Church
reflected the relationship between the Church and arts, as witnessed
by Croatian cultural heritage.
The Dean of the Divinity College, Professor Josip Baloban, said this
year's pastoral week focused on ties between philosophy, theology, art
history, communications and architecture.
Baloban went on to say that this event would bring about something new
for the future of Croatian society and the Church, and particularly
for Zagreb University, through this meeting of theology and arts,
theologians and artists.
This is the time for enhancing the cooperation and dialogue between
theologians and artists, which will significantly contribute to the
development of Croatian culture.
The Apostolic Nuncio to Croatia, Javier Francisco Lozano, and the
Chairman of the Catholic Buishops' Conference in Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Franjo Komarica, attended the opening of the 44th pastoral week.
