MOSTAR, Jan 23(Hina) - A former Defence Minister of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Miroslav Prce, and former director of the Hercegovina Osiguranje insurance company Miroslav Rupcic were arrested in Mostar early Friday morning,
attorney from Mostar Josip Muselimovic said.
MOSTAR, Jan 23(Hina) - A former Defence Minister of the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Miroslav Prce, and former director of the
Hercegovina Osiguranje insurance company Miroslav Rupcic were
arrested in Mostar early Friday morning, attorney from Mostar Josip
Muselimovic said.#L#
The two men were arrested in the same operation in which former
president of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnian Herzegovina Ante
Jelavic was nabbed. Attorney Muslimovic, who represents Jelavic said
he suspected his client was arrested in connection to the Hercegovacka
Bank case.
In the spring of 2001, the international community froze all accounts
of Herzegovacka bank under suspicion of illegal business transactions.
The NATO-led Stabilisation Force confiscated all documents of the
bank.
