PRISTINA, Dec 20 (Hina) - Regulations for the establishment of theministries of the interior and justice in Kosovo have been signed,Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Kosumi and the Deputy UN CivilAdministrator in charge of police and the
judiciary, Jean Dussourd,said on Tuesday.
PRISTINA, Dec 20 (Hina) - Regulations for the establishment of the
ministries of the interior and justice in Kosovo have been signed, Kosovo
Prime Minister Bajram Kosumi and the Deputy UN Civil Administrator in charge of
police and the judiciary, Jean Dussourd, said on Tuesday. Speaking
at an extraordinary news conference, Kosumi and Dussourd said activities to set
up the two ministries would start before the New Year and last three
months.
With the last two ministries, which will have restricted powers, the
Kosovo government will consist of 14 ministries. The UN-administered province
still does not have the ministries of foreign affairs and defence.
International representatives have said that the powers of the Kosovo
government will expand as the necessary conditions are created.
