The document was signed on the margins of an international conference in Vienna in the presence of European Commission Vice President Franco Frattini, who is the Justice, Freedom and Security Commissioner, and Austria's Justice Minister Karin Gastineger, who welcomed the protocol.
Minister Skare-Ozbolt said the protocol would contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between the two ministries, and Serbian Minister Stojkovic added that the document "confirms the good relations between the two countries".
The officials were attending the two-day regional conference of Southeast European justice ministers, which started in Vienna today. The event, focusing on the establishment of institutions of the rule of law, pooled justice ministers from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, and Serbia and Montenegro.
