Wednesday's visit to Zagreb of SerbianPremier Vojislav Kostunica, the ministry said in a statement.
ZAGREB, Nov 24 (Hina) - The Secretary of State for Political
Issues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Hido
Biscevic, on Thursday held a briefing for foreign diplomats accredited to
Croatia on the results of Wednesday's visit to Zagreb of Serbian Premier
Vojislav Kostunica, the ministry said in a statement. Biscevic
highlighted the importance of the meeting between Kostunica and Prime Minister
Ivo Sanader for the further development of bilateral cooperation, saying that
relations between Croatia and Serbia were crucial for the stability of
Southeast Europe.
"The meeting also reaffirmed that the good neighbourly relations
between the two countries were based on the European vision, with the start of
accession talks between Croatia and the EU and the start of talks between
Serbia and Montenegro and the EU on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement
being of particular importance," the statement said.
