Jessen-Petersen met Kosovo minority representatives on Thursday and said he would ask President Ibrahim Rugova, who heads the negotiating team, to include all communities in Kosovo in the team because of the importance of their involvement in the current political situation.
Jessen-Petersen said that UN special envoy and chief negotiator for Kosovo Matti Ahtisaari would arrive in Pristina on Monday to meet minority representatives.
Minority representatives have expressed interest in participating in the debate on Kosovo's future status, but also fear regarding their security and right to use their language.
The only minority which has not expressed interest in the talks are the Serbs. It remains unknown whether they will be a third delegation in the talks or part of the Belgrade delegation.
