ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - Directors of regional rail companies withinGroup 4 met in the northern Croatian Adriatic resort of Opatija onWednesday to discuss further joint projects, training in accordancewith EU guidelines,
interoperability, development of rail transport,European transport policy and the European Train Control System, theCroatian Railways company said in a press release.
ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - Directors of regional rail companies
within Group 4 met in the northern Croatian Adriatic resort of Opatija on
Wednesday to discuss further joint projects, training in accordance with EU
guidelines, interoperability, development of rail transport, European transport
policy and the European Train Control System, the Croatian Railways company
said in a press release. Group 4 was established in Vienna in
December 1992 by state-run rail companies from Austria, Croatia, Hungary and
Slovenia. They were later joined by rail companies from Slovakia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina and the private Austrian-Hungarian rail company GYSEV.
The purpose of G-4 is to promote common interests in the region between
the Danube river and the Adriatic sea.
