The ministry said in a statement that Afanasyev expressed satisfaction with the opening of Croatia's EU entry talks and stressed that Croatia could help countries in the region with its human potential and knowledge.
Both officials expressed an interest in continuing the promotion of cooperation between the UNDP and Croatia.
Grabar Kitarovic also met the first resident Israeli Ambassador to Croatia, Shmuel Meirom.
Meirom congratulated Grabar Kitarovic on the start of EU entry talks and added that his country supported Croatia in its efforts to become a full EU member.
Grabar Kitarovic said she was satisfied with the very good relations between the two countries.
