The two returnees were killed while collecting wood in a forest on November 11 and 13.
The UNHCR voiced concern by the fact that the deaths occurred in a short period of time in an area which was evidently not marked as possibly mine-infested, and voiced confidence the police would shed light on the incidents.
The UNHCR was also hopeful such incidents would not undermine the security situation in refugee return areas, and that the government's efforts to improve the situation there and to enable refugees to return home in a safe and dignified manner would not be in vain.
