BELGRADE, Nov 12 (Hina) - Police in the northern city of Novi Sad onFriday evening arrested 10 members of the neo-Nazi association called"Nacionalni Stroj (National Engine)" after they violently interrupteda panel discussion on
anti-Fascism which was being held at the localFaculty of Philosophy a day before.
BELGRADE, Nov 12 (Hina) - Police in the northern city of Novi Sad
on Friday evening arrested 10 members of the neo-Nazi association called
"Nacionalni Stroj (National Engine)" after they violently interrupted a panel
discussion on anti-Fascism which was being held at the local Faculty of
Philosophy a day before. Radio-Television of Serbia reported that
they would be detained in custody for 48 hours on suspicion that they had
incited ethnic, religious and racial hatred.
The police are searching for another four men, who were identified from
photos taken at the panel discussion.
The local chief prosecutor Zoran Pavlovic said that he would take over
the entire case of prosecuting those suspects due to the gravity of the
crime.
The insult of neo-Nazis on participants in the panel discussion was
condemned by state officials in Serbia as well as many nongovernmental
organisations.
