The plane, owned by the Croatian company Trade Air, was carrying post from Bergamo to Zagreb. All three people aboard, pilot Aleksandar Peicic, 50, his wife Tatjana Sesek, 50, and copilot Katja Popovic, 35, were killed as the plane crashed minutes after taking off.
The investigation has established that the plane was checked by the Italian Transport Safety Institute on October 24 and that safety requirements were in order. It has also been determined that the plane took off from the Bergamo airport without any problems.
Prosecutor Angelo Tibaldi and the Flight Safety Agency expect autopsy results tomorrow and an expert report on the possible causes of the crash.
It has also been reported that one of the two black boxes was quite damaged. The first concrete results of the probe are not expected soon. Such investigations usually last more than a month.
