ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - The defence ministers of the Central EuropeanNations Cooperation (CENCOOP) initiative, which covers Austria,Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland, willmeet in Zagreb on October 20-21,
the Croatian Defence Ministry said ina statement on Tuesday.
ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - The defence ministers of the Central
European Nations Cooperation (CENCOOP) initiative, which covers Austria,
Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland, will meet in
Zagreb on October 20-21, the Croatian Defence Ministry said in a statement on
Tuesday. The initiative, which Croatia joined in 2002 and which it
has been chairing since January 1, was established in 1998 at Austria's
proposal and it is the only such initiative in Central Europe.
Next year's CENCOOP chair is Romania.
During the October 20-21 meeting, Croatian Defence Minister Berislav
Roncevic will meet his Austrian and Slovene counterparts.
The event will also include a meeting of the army chiefs-of-staff of
CENCOOP member-countries.
