In a statement issued in Sarajevo, the HNV president, friar Luka Markesic, said the nationalist ideology in Bosnia-Herzegovina continued to generate harmful effects, which was now evidenced not only by the existence of two schools under one roof, but by attempts to establish ethnically completely separated schools as those reported in two majority Croat municipalities this year.
Accusing the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of promoting segregation in the school system in the country's Croat-Muslim entity, the HNV said this posed a major threat to unity in peace and freedom in the whole country.
