According to results of a poll conducted by Gallup and the Kosovo agency 'Index', a majority of 1,104 responds who included both Albanians and non-Albanians, are in favour of Kosovo's independence.
Most respondents say that the definition of a final status of Kosovo is of top priority.
However, they bill a high unemployment rate as the most serious problem.
A majority of respondents say that Kosovo representatives should hold negotiations with Serbia only on technical issues.
According to the results of the survey, presented in Pristina on Saturday, the most popular politicians in Kosovo are Parliament Speaker Nexhat Daci, the UN Civil Administrator Soren Jessen-Petersen and Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova.
