Lozancic's office on Thursday issued a press release commenting on Ashdown's recent assessment that the president of the Croat-Muslim entity had unlawfully pardoned his party colleagues, including former federal defence minister Miroslav Prce, who was sentenced to five years in jail for mismanagement.
In the press release, Lozancic labelled Ashdown a source close to a foreign intelligence service, alluding to recent media allegations that Ashdown is a British secret agent.
Lozancic declined to comment on accusations against him, saying he was only waiting to be executed after the media lynching he had been exposed to.
Bosnian media recently gave extensive coverage to Lozancic's decision to reduce Prce's sentence by one year with the explanation that Prce was gravely ill and that his family was in dire straits.
Ashdown's comment on that occasion was that it was easier to be pardoned in Bosnia than pass the driving test.
Lozancic said today that if he were to be prosecuted, it would constitute yet another Ashdown project to destabilise Bosnian institutions of authority.
