He added that the Delegation would actively work on supporting and facilitating Croatia on the road to EU membership, noting that it was one of the European Commission's strategic goals.
Mesic said that participating in the European integration process was one of Croatia's strategic goals. Describing the process as an enterprise of the millennium, he said that "the enlargement process should not be slowed down until all Southeast European countries become an integral part of the process."
Mesic noted that on its path to EU membership Croatia was implementing the necessary reforms and its international obligations and promoting development, cross-border cooperation, minority protection and the rule of law.
