The chairman of the ARZ Management Board, Zoran Klaric, whose replacement has been announced, told Hina the EBRD informed the ARZ that it had no objections to the chosen bidders. The bidding procedure was carried out in line with EBRD regulations, Klaric said.
The 15-kilometre Vrbovsko-Bosiljevo 2 section will be built by the Split-based "Konstruktor-inzenjering", whose bid amounted to 7.5 million euros.
The 725-metre viaduct of Severinska Draga will be constructed by Hidroelektra Niskogradnja from Zagreb at a price of 10.5 million euros, while the Zeceva Draga viaduct will be built by Viadukt from Zagreb at a price of 13 million euros.
Klaric said he was glad that Croatian companies were chosen as the best bidders although they did not offer the lowest prices.
The signing of the three contracts will mark the completion of the bidding procedure for all facilities along the Vrbovsko-Bosiljevo 2 section, Klaric said.
The additional construction works that will transform the highway section into a three-lane dual carriageway are financed with loan funds left over from previously agreed contracts, amounting to more than 50 million euros, of which 30 million euros are EBRD funds, eight million was granted by the German development bank KfW, and 10 million by Zagrebacka Banka.
