Kosovo reported that the victims were civilians from the areas of Djakovica,
Lipljani, Kosovo Polje, Decani and Mitrovica, and that their remains were
unearthed from a mass grave at Batajnica near Belgrade, where they were
transferred after they were killed.
Josse Baraybar, head of the UNMIK-run office for missing persons, said
today that so far the bodies of 486 persons killed during the war had been
transferred back from Serbia to Kosovo and that the transfer of another 350
