The incumbent KFOR commander, French General Yves de Kermabon, and Valotto held talks with Kosovo officials about the situation in the UN-administered province.
Kosovo Parliament Speaker Nexhat Daci said during the talks with the two generals that the Serbian side frequently said the Serbian army would return to Kosovo, which he added was not conducive to the stabilisation of the situation.
Valotto dismissed the possibility of the Serbian army's return. "The relationship between KFOR and the citizens of Kosovo, KFOR's engagement in the protection of order and freedom, and the fact that international troops have put themselves in the service of defending the people and fighting crime are the best message for the whole world," he said.
