The overall expenses in 2004 amounted to 10.2 million kuna. In relation to 2003, income rose by 10.1 percent and expenses by 8.3 percent.
According to officials of the Rijeka airport, 57,000 passengers were transported through the Rijeka airport last year, in relation to 2003 when the number of passengers amounted to 46,587.
The Rijeka airport ended the 2003 business year with a 1.28 million kuna in business losses.
The majority owner of the airport is the state with a 55 percent share. Primorje-Gorski Kotar Counzy has 20 percent of the airport shares, the City of Rijeka ten percent, the towns of Krk, Crikvenica and Opatija four percent each and the municipality of Omisalj has three percent.
