ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - The president of the Social Democratic Partyon Thursday criticised the government's economic policy, thegovernment's failure to implement reforms and encourage economicgrowth, the result of which is an
increasing social disintegration ofcitizens and a poor standard of living.
ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - The president of the Social Democratic
Party on Thursday criticised the government's economic policy, the government's
failure to implement reforms and encourage economic growth, the result of
which is an increasing social disintegration of citizens and a poor standard of
living. "The government is clearly working a little, talking a lot
and traelling even more but without results," Racan told a news conference.
He expressed concern with the unstoppable drop of Gross Domestic
Product, inflation rate growth, poor coverage of imports with exports, internal
debt growth, a fall in industrial production and employment rate and increase
of the unemployment rate.
Racan, however, positively assessed the recent adoption of the law
regulating the settlement of the debt to pensioners.
