WASHINGTON, July 18 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader
met California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in Santa Monica on Saturday for
talks about cooperation between Croatia and California, Croatian government
spokesman Ratko Macek told Hina on Sunday. Sanader met
Schwarzenegger before going to Washington where, as part of his visit to the
United States, he will attend a conference of international conservative
parties and with its participants meet US President George W. Bush.
Sanader and Schwarzenegger discussed the possibilities of
Croatian-Californian economic cooperation, notably in tourism, said Macek.
He added the two officials agreed that the numerous Croat community in
California could be a bridge of cooperation between the two states.
