The 52-year-old Davidovic, who is a Croatian citizen, stood mute at his first appearance before the investigating judge in Zagreb on Tuesday.

Davidovic was arrested in the eastern Croatian village of Banovci over the weekend on suspicion that as a member of the Scorpions he took part in the killing of a group of Muslims from Srebrenica. A video of the killing was recently shown at the trial of ex-Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic before the Hague war crimes tribunal.
