Pusic, who is the top candidate on the list, said that this was the only centre-left list for Zagreb.
She added that in case the HNS-LD won local elections in Zagreb, she would abandon her seat in the Croatian parliament so as to be able to perform the duties of Zagreb mayor.
Asked by reporters who might be her party's coalition partner after the elections, Pusic said that judging by its platform the Social Democratic Party (SDP) was their natural coalition partner. In case of a coalition, the two parties' representatives in the city assembly would reach consensus on the election of the mayor.
The SDP candidate for Zagreb mayor is the current deputy mayor, Milan Bandic.
The SDP, which has to date been in power in the City of Zagreb together with the HNS, yesterday presented its list for the coming local elections. The list consists of candidates from the SDP, and its coalition partners - the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) and the Croatian Party of Pensioners (HSU), and some independent candidates, prominent people from public life.
Pusic ruled out the possibility for making coalitions either with the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) or the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP).
The HDZ yesterday said that its candidate for Zagreb mayor would be the current minister of environmental protection, regional planning and construction, Marina Dropulic, who was Zagreb mayor in the second half of the 1990s.
