"Croatia, Macedonia and Albania, the so-called Group 3, expect invitations for NATO by the end of 2006," Sanader said after talks with Buckovski who is on an official visit to Zagreb.
Sanader congratulated Buckovski on Macedonia's submission of answers to the European Commission's questionnaire and said Croatia hoped Macedonia would start negotiations with the EU as soon as possible.
Buckovski said he hoped Croatia's EU entry talks would start by the end of June, during Luxembourg's Presidency over the Union.
According to him, "there should be no illusions that slowing down the pace of one country could help others to catch up in the process of drawing closer to the EU".
Sanader and Buckovski said the two countries would sign an agreement on cooperation in the health sector and an agreement on cultural cooperation for the period between 2005 and 2007.
Later today the two PMs will visit the Croatian Chamber of the Economy and address business people.
"Economic cooperation is not satisfactory although there is room for improvement," the Croatian PM said.
Buckovski said he would attend the Crans Montana Forum to be held in Zagreb in mid-April.
