At the talks with members of the Committee on European Integration, the officials agreed that te start of negotiations on joining the EU was a priority for both countries. It was said that if Croatia started negotiations on March 17, it would be an encouragement for all countries of the region to intensify efforts to achieve European democratic standards.
At the talks with members of the Croatian parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs the officials said the two countries had no outstanding issues and added that the Croatia-macedonia economic trade had significantly increased.
The Macedonian officials also expressed interest in the activities of the Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation, the statement said.
