"Croatia must fully cooperate with the international war crimes tribunal in The Hague, but our position is that this doesn't mean that it must extradite General Ante Gotovina before the start of the negotiations, but submit hard evidence that it is trying to do so," Rupel told the parliamentary foreign affairs committee.
He said Croatia's further EU integration was in Slovenia's interest, as was peace and stability in the Western Balkans. He added Slovene diplomats must stress that as a priority of their activity in the EU.
