MOSTAR, March 1 (Hina) - The Croat member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dragan Covic, declined to confirm or deny to Herzegovina Television on Monday evening information that international prosecutors in the Bosnian Prosecutor's Office Special Department for the prevention of organised crime would issue an indictment gainst him by the end of the week.

The Bosnian print media said on Monday Covic could be put on trial for tax evasion in the Lijanovici meat industry. He has also been brought into connection with the murky privatisation of the Mostar-based Soko company.

Covic declined to say whether he would resign to his post, should charges against him be pressed.

The Bosnian media are speculating that Martin Raguz could be Covic's potential successor.

According to Dnveni Avaz daily, also indicted will be several influential people including the Constitutional Court President, Mato Tadic.
