SARAJEVO, Feb 26 (Hina) - The Archbishop of Sarajevo, Cardinal Vinko
Puljic, has said attempts to present him as a person who is helping the runaway
Croatian General Ante Gotovina in hiding are malevolent attacks aimed at
discrediting him because of his efforts to promote the truth about the
situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina."Such claims are not without ill intentions," Cardinal Puljic said in
Sarajevo on Saturday when he was asked to comment on some reports in the
Croatian media alleging that the Croatian Counterintelligence Agency (POA)
treated the dignitary as a part of the network that helped to harbour the
fugitive general.
"I have revealed some things in Bosnia-Herzegovina which have hampered
our survival and the return (of Croat refugees) and that's why I am the target
of attacks," the Sarajevo Archbishop said, adding that such attacks would not
intimidate him.
"I always advocate principles which hold true in all times," Puljic
said.
