Miletic said in an interview for the Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily of Wednesday that Mladic was hiding mostly in military barracks while Karadzic preferred religious buildings.
"We have been tracing them for quite some time and we will see if there will be any results," Miletic said.
According to Miletic, the police force of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim entity has reliable information on where Mladic was hiding while he was on the territory of Republika Srpska.
War crimes indictees continue to cross the Bosnian border on the territory of the Serb entity, Miletic said, adding that they were using border crossings that were not under constant police control.
The Federation police are investigating some 15 former and incumbent Bosnian officials for different criminal activities, Miletic said, adding that the suspects were members of different political parties and that they were of different ethnicity and religion.
