The agreements are aimed at strengthening economic cooperation.
The two countries' officials hailed the signing of an agreement on avoiding double taxation and an agreement on cooperation between the Croatian Reconstruction and Development Bank (HBOR) and the Jordanian Export Credit Agency (JLCG).
The agreement defines main areas of cooperation in joint projects and foresees cooperation with third countries through joint export projects.
Jordan finds Croatia interesting for several reasons, notably because Croatia will join NATO and the EU, the governor of the Jordanian central bank, Unayah Touqan, said after the signing ceremony.
On the other side, Croatia finds Jordan interesting because of the duty free export of goods to the EU.
Also signed was a memorandum of understanding between the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka and the Jordanian port of Akaba. The head of the Rijeka port authorities, Bojan Hlaca, said that the memorandum created a new market for this northern Adriatic port.
The two countries also signed an agreement on cultural cooperation.
All agreements were signed in the presence of the Croatian and Jordanian prime ministers, Ivo Sanader and Faisal Al Fayez.
